DIY All-Natural Lavender Foot Soak

Imagine yourself sitting in a cozy bathrobe, soothing music playing, and your feet soaking in a deliciously warm tub of water. Heavenly, isn’t it? Well, imagine no more! You can make this a reality with this DIY All-Natural Lavender Foot Soak.

A foot soak is a lovely way to relax after a long day on your feet. And it’s great for relieving achy feet and soothing your muscles.

Benefits of Lavender Essential Oil

Adding a few drops of lavender essential oil provides even more relief. The calming qualities of lavender essential oil can help you relax, and its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties can provide natural pain relief for sore and achy feet and joints.

Benefits of Epsom Salt

I include Epsom salt in the recipe, as it can remove toxins and lactic acid from your feet that are known to cause inflammation and body pain. When added to warm water, the sulfate and magnesium in the salt can be absorbed through your skin and can help reduce inflammation and swelling in your feet. The magnesium also helps exfoliate the dead skin cells from your feet.

After you run your foot soak, finish off by massaging your feet with a moisturizer. Do this two to three times a week and your feet will thank you for it!

Choosing Oils

The recipe calls for lavender essential oil, but you can substitute with other essential oils that can also work wonders for your feet, including peppermint and eucalyptus essential oil.

You can find them in your local health food store, but keep in mind not all essential oils are the same. Look for 100% pure essential oils and check with a health professional or coach who can advise you on what’s best for you.
