Healthy Chocolate Cake

 

  • 2 medium eggs
  • 4 tbsp carob extract
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 10 g baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

For Sauce:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 30 g unsweetened chocolate
  1. For the sauce, mix all the ingredients in a small saucepan and cook until it boils. Remove the boiling sauce from the heat and set the sauce aside to cool.

  2. Put all the liquid ingredients for the cake in a mixing bowl and whisk until completely mixed.

  3. Add the dry ingredients by sieving them over the liquids and fold them until you get a homogeneous mixture.

  4. Pour the cake mix on a greased tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35 minutes.

  5. After the cake is baked, poke holes with a fork and slice. Pour the cooled sauce on the hot cake and let it sit until the cake has completely absorbed the sauce.
